Never Say Never Again Joins The Bond Roster

Goldfinger Blu-ray  Moonraker Blu-ray  world is not enough blu-ray  Never Say Never Again BD art

As Moonraker, Goldfinger and The World Is Not Enough get the go-ahead for a 24 March release date, MGM has also added unofficial Bond clunker Never Say Never Again to the roster.

Lighter on extras than the aforementioned trio, this Sean Connery-starring Bond outing will enjoy the franchise-standard treatment of an MPEG-4 transfer and a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. Extras will include an audio commentary with director Irvin Kershner, three featurettes, an image gallery and a theatrical trailer.

Despite having a release date to coincide with the other Bonds, including Quantum Of Solace, this unofficial 007 won’t be offered in any of the franchise’s boxsets.

Babylon B.D.

Babylon A.D.

Fox has announced Babylon A.D. as a future BD title, giving the Vin Diesel starring action flick a 29 December release date. Presented in a new unrated cut, an AVC video and 5.1 DTS-HD audio transfer help to raise the credentials of this critical flop.

Standing out as the most fascinating featurette from this disc’s extras selection ‘Babylon Babies’ documents how Maurice G. Dantec’s novel was adapted to the screen. Along with numerous in-depth making of segments, a BonusVIEW Mode tips this futuristic Blu-ray as a half decent entry on the end of the 2008 slate.
