Jumping on the Sci-fi bandwagon that will no doubt be in full swing by the point Star Trek hits cinemas, Universal Studios has announced that a 25th Anniversary edition of The Last Starfighter will hit Blu-ray on 4 August in the US. Previously available on HD DVD, the cult eighties classic will include a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track, and the following extras:

• Crossing the Frontier: Making The Last Starfighter
• Image Gallery
• Trailers
• BD Live
