Do The Right Thing In June

Universal are set to release the 20th anniversary edition of Spike Lee’s red-hot racial drama Do The Right Thing on Blu-ray in the US on 30 June. A UK release date has yet to be announced.
As well as a new VC-1 transfer, the disc will feature a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack and a pizzeria full of extras, including exclusives not on the Criterion DVD, such as a commentary, retrospective documentary and 11 deleted scenes.
Heralded as the definitive film on race relations, it has the curious honour of being the first date film for the Obamas, but also unfortunately introduced the world to Martin Lawrence.
