Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced Henry Selick’s stop-motion fantasy Coraline will be released in the US on two-disc edition Blu-ray with both 2D and 3D versions of the film. Out on July 21, the film will sport 1.85:1, 1080p VC-1 encoded video, with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack, four pairs of 3D glasses and the extras listed below. We’re a little worried that the average consumer on the street is going to start expecting cinema-level 3D with their Blu-ray purchase - will red and blue anaglyphic specs start to put people off? We’ll let you know when Coraline is confirmed for the UK.

According to the films director, Terminator: Salvation will feature up to 40 minutes of extra footage on Blu-ray. The fourth entry in the blockbusting sci-fi franchise hits UK cinemas on June 03, but in an interview with collider.com, helmer McG stated that ‘extensive subplots involving hero John Connor, as well as an alternate ending’ would appear in the home release. Whether or not these scenes would be integrated into a longer cut for the Blu-ray remains unclear - as always we’ll let you know when we do.

To celebrate the release of The Good, The Bad, The Weird High Definition Review has teamed up with Icon Home Entertainment to give away a copy of the film on Blu-ray, as well as a cool pair of Skullcandy headphones!

Set in the 1930’s Manchurian desert where lawlessness rules, the film follows three Korean men who fatefully meet each other on a train. Do-Won (JUNG Woo-sung) is a bounty hunter who tracks down dangerous criminals. Chang- yi (LEE Byung-hun) is the leader of a group of tough-as-nails bandits. Tae-goo (SONG Kang-ho) is a train robber with nine lives. The three strangers engage in a chase across Manchuria to take possession of a map Tae-goo discovers while robbing the train. Also on the hunt for the mysterious map are the Japanese army and Asian bandits. In this unpredictable, escalating battle for the map, who will stand as the winner in the end?

The Good, The Bad, The Weird is the smash hit Box-Office sensation with over 7 million cinema admissions in South Korea alone, and is available on DVD and Blu-ray 1st June .
