Apple on the up

Apple TV

We love a high-def first at HD Review, so here we go with the latest revelation in the buzzing world of all things pristine and 1080p… Apple recently announced that it has struck the one million mark on its HD TV download service. Nestled within a hefty two hundred million shows that have been shifted since the company began distributing video content, this vital stat bodes well for us across the pond. The inclusion of more HD content on its Apple’s marketplace must surely beckon with the demand clearly evident in the numbers.

Pineapple Express Makes The Cut

Pineapple Express

Stoners of the world unite as Pineapple Express rides onto a tightly packed Blu-ray. Coming both in theatrical and a director’s cut, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and an MPEG-4 transfer all ensure that this Seth Rogen and James Franco starring comedy blazes up well in HD, but it’s the addition of a second disc that really sweetens the deal.

Featuring production featurettes (‘The Making Of Pineapple Express’ and  ‘The Action of Pineapple Express’) and assorted montage reels, the BD-exclusive game ‘Ride the Express’ completes this release that is set to smoke out shelves January 6.
